A lot has changed since our last post...whoops! Things have flown by, and we haven't been as dedicated to this blog as we should be...lets see; after going to the Zoo...we had busy weekends, filled with a Knight-Norman Family Reunion, a trip to Baker City, and our first ultra sound of Baby Brand #2 due March 22nd! Just tonight, Owen and Mommy worked on Owen's Big Boy Room; and we call it just that...he's not sleeping in it quite yet; we'll break him in slowly...beginning with naps, and just making it his play room, to hopefully with in the month, his Big Boy Bedroom! He was pretty impressed with his bed, and crawls in and out of it all the time! Eric and I have taken back the living room! Cramming as many toys as possible into Owen's Big Boy room...phew...starting to get this house put back together...for today anyway!
The Knight-Norman Family Reunion (we do one every 3 years, it's all my Dad's side of the family); was a lot of fun! Owen had fun just walking, up the hill, down the hill, into the bushes, in to the shelter, up the steps, even throwing rocks in the river! Which Grandpa Knight says is a must for any little boy! Owen loves it, and now we often find rocks in the dogs water, because Owen can't help but throw them in the water to see them splash! Thanks Grandpa :)
Labor Day weekend (a 4 day weekend for us!!) we spent in Baker City, visiting Grandpa Brand and Aunt Kim. Aunt Gina and cousin Lucas came too! Owen had a lot of fun! We learned quickly that he can climb a flight of stairs in the blink of an eye! Owen had a lot of fun playing with Grandpa and Aunt Kim, and especially loved his time at the Baker City Park! The food was great, and the Family was awesome!
The Friday before we left for Baker City, I had my 12 week appointment, followed by a free (at least that's what the doctor says) ultra sound, to see little Baby # 2. Remembering how Owen just sort of floated in and out of the view screen of the monitor at 12 weeks...this baby was TOTALLY different! Every time Dr. Palacio would move the monitor to get a better view, this little guy/gal would kick, kick, kick, hands and feet going, and then nuzzle back into a comfy spot and lay still...Palacio would move it again, and again I'd see little arms and legs pumping as hard and as fast as they could...and then resting. The nurse even caught a glimpse of the little one shaking its head No...it was a great day!
Tonight we moved the guest bedroom out, and Owen's Big Boy bedroom in! I found a toddler bed on craigslist.com and picked it up today! We assembled, and organized Owen's big boy room, pulling all his favorite toys out of his current nursery, and into this room. This room is so baby proof it's ridiculous! We can now safely leave his Big Boy room door open, and let him play by himself...Owen loves it! I think any chance he gets to be a little independent he totally takes advantage of!
With baby on the way, and Owen growing faster than a weed, we'll do better from here on out to ensure this blog stays updated with everything going on in our busy lives!
Wishing you all a great week!
